Privacy Policy
Last updated: January 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Nett Lab Vault handles information when you browse our site, contact our gear desk, or place an order. We aim to collect only what we need to operate a dependable retail service.
1. Information we receive
We may receive your name, email address, phone number, delivery address, order details, and the contents of messages you send us. Payment details are handled by our payment providers and are not stored by Nett Lab Vault in full.
2. Information collected automatically
Our systems may record device type, browser information, pages viewed, approximate location, referral source, and security events. This helps us protect the site and understand which gear information is useful.
3. How we use information
We use information to process orders, deliver equipment, answer questions, manage returns, provide warranty support, maintain site security, and improve our product range and customer service.
4. Communications
We send transactional messages such as order confirmations, dispatch notices, and return updates. Optional marketing messages are sent only where permitted and include a straightforward unsubscribe option.
5. Sharing with service providers
We share information with delivery carriers, payment processors, hosting providers, customer support tools, and professional advisers only when necessary to provide services or meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information.
6. Cookies and similar tools
Essential cookies support security and site functions. With your choice, optional cookies may remember preferences, provide aggregate analytics, or support relevant Nett Lab Vault communications. See our Cookie Policy.
7. Retention
We keep order and accounting records for the period required by law and retain customer-service correspondence only as long as it is useful for support, dispute handling, and business records.
8. Security
We use access controls, secure connections, provider safeguards, and operational checks appropriate to the information we handle. No internet transmission is completely risk-free, so please avoid sending payment credentials by email.
9. Your choices
You may ask us to access, correct, delete, or explain the handling of your personal information, subject to legal recordkeeping requirements. You can also change optional cookie choices through the consent controls when available.
10. Children
Our store is intended for adults making or supervising outdoor purchases. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate guardian involvement.
11. International transfers
Our service providers may process information in countries outside your location. Where this occurs, we use appropriate contractual, technical, or legal safeguards required by applicable privacy law.
12. Policy updates
We may revise this policy to reflect changes in our service, technology, or legal duties. The updated date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
14. If something goes wrong
We keep access controls, encrypted checkout and staff-training practices in place specifically to reduce the chance of a data-security incident. In the rare event that customer information is affected by a breach that creates real risk to you, we will notify affected customers without undue delay, explain what happened in plain language, and describe the steps we and you can take to reduce any harm — this is a commitment on top of, not instead of, our normal security practices.
15. Marketing preferences
If you opt in to order-related emails or gear guides, every message includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and removing yourself takes effect on the next send cycle. Unsubscribing from marketing does not affect transactional messages such as order confirmations, shipping notices or replies to a support request, since those are necessary to complete a purchase you have already made.
16. How to raise a concern
If you believe we have mishandled your information, contact us first — most concerns are resolved once we understand what happened, whether that means correcting an order record or explaining why a particular detail was collected. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may also raise the matter with Japan's data protection authority.
